VIRAT KHOLI
Virat Kohli, born on November 5, 1988, in Delhi, India, is a well-known cricket player known for his reliable play, aggressive batting style, and leadership abilities. He is considered one of the world's top batsmen, especially in limited-over formats. Kohli's father, Prem Kohli, passed away in 2006, and his mother, Kohli Saroj, was also a cricketer.
Kohli began his career in professional cricket at the age of nine, enrolling in the West Delhi Cricket Academy. His aggressive style of play and quick batting attracted coaches and selectors. After attending the Saviour Convent School in Delhi, he moved to Vikas Puri where he continued his competitive playing career.
Kohli made his debut in 2002 after being chosen to play for the Delhi Under-15 squad. He quickly rose through the ranks and began playing for the senior and Under-19 teams of Delhi. In 2006, he made his Delhi debut in the Ranji Trophy India's top domestic tournament.
Kohli made his One Day International (ODI) debut for India in 2008, initially as a backup batsman. His aggressive batting and deft handling of pressure won the confidence of captains and selectors. Despite initial struggles in Test cricket, Kohli's perseverance and tenacity allowed him to develop into one of the world's best Test batsmen.

Notable turning points in his career include the first ODI century against Sri Lanka in 2009, the fastest to 8000, 9000, 10,000, and 11,000 runs in one-day international matches, and the ICC ODI Player of the Year award twice in 2012 and 2017.
